Cancel a QR code generator subscription
Many people discover a QR code generator subscription when they see a charge on their statement. Here are the steps, in order, to stop it cleanly and keep evidence.
Your code stopped working? Check where it leads, then replace it with a code that depends on no subscription.
1. Find the service and the account
- Look for the name on your bank statement and in your emails (“welcome”, “receipt”, “invoice”).
- Find the email address used for the account: it is often the one you used to download the code.
2. Cancel from your account
- Sign in, then look for “Subscription”, “Billing” or “Plan”.
- Many countries require online subscriptions to be cancellable online, easily. In the EU, check your national rules; in France, an online “cancel in three clicks” function is mandatory.
- Take a screenshot of the confirmation, with the date.
3. If you cannot find how to cancel
- Email customer support asking for immediate cancellation and written confirmation. Keep a copy.
- If the service does not answer and charges continue, contact your bank or card issuer: they can block future payments to that merchant.
- You can also report the problem to your national consumer protection authority.
4. Replace your codes
- Cancelling usually cuts your dynamic codes: plan their replacement before reprinting.
- A free static code can never be cut off; an editable QR Durable code costs €2.99 once, no subscription.
Questions
Will cancelling cut my QR codes?

Can I cancel by email?
Yes, a clear email asking for cancellation, with a reply or receipt, is useful evidence. Keep a copy.
